This is a terracotta clay base with painted decoration. It was made in imitation of Italian maiolica, especially in England during the 19th century. You can see the brush stokes so its more like painting. This was some ceramic work that I made during a class that I took. Some time I hope to do more. Now that my throwing has improved.
